home prices are even worse. my landlords increase sale price by 15% due to demand for pte residential and landed. prior to increase if sold at the original price, landlords would have made between 1 to 3million dollars, WHY NOT LEGISLATE CAPITAL GAIN TAX to deter more purchases to help poor IRAS to make more money and then use it for both social and community support to low income earners and who stay only in HDB flats. CAPITAL GAIN TAX should apply to all homes be it HDB, private, commercial and industrial, Commercial especially shophouses can make millions within a year and there is no ABSD AND SSD, that is why so many foreigners prefer to buy shophouses

Heard that dealers are made to pay $200 in penalty if the COE is not utilized in 6 month. Should this be made a certain % of the COE price instead to prevent indiscriminate bidding? Eg 25% or even 50%?

I guess the numbers skyrocketing thanks to delivery (motorbikes) & more people buying private car for hire. But sometimes due to no logic the numbers still jump up.. once Covid situation back to normal level, lots of these cars & bikes for sale.
