August 2026 COE Results 2nd Bidding: Ghosts were hungry for food while people were hungry for car and bike COEs, whose premiums reopened the gates of monetary hell
In the second COE bidding exercise of August 2026, Cat A closed at $128,501; Cat B closed at $131,001; Cat C closed at $90,002; Cat D closed at $11,301; while Cat E closed at $135,000.
Cat A (car up to 1600cc & 130bhp, and EV with up to 110kW) received 1,600 bids for 1,197 COEs and its premium climbed by $4,611. Category A COE closed at $128,501.
Cat B (car above 1600cc or 130bhp, and EV with more than 110kW) received 1,316 bids for 936 COEs and its premium climbed by $1,091. Category B COE closed at $131,001.
Cat C (goods vehicle and bus) received 446 bids for 306 COEs and its premium decreased by $1,543. Category C COE closed at $90,002.
Cat D (motorcycle) received 686 bids for 512 COEs and its premium increased by $798. Category D COE closed at $11,301.
Lastly, Cat E (all vehicles except motorcycle) received 467 bids for 254 COEs and climbed by $4,000. Category E COE closed at exactly $135,000.
