Hi! I paid a deposit of $1k for a used car with a car dealer after a quick test drive. Later I realized some functionality (idle stop engine) might be broken. I asked the car dealer to show me it is working, but they did not want to allow me to test drive it again. Am I entitled to get the deposit refunded (as they cannot show the car is fully functional) if I don't proceed with the purchase?

The Insurance Certificate I provided together with my other documents could have proved my ownership but they said I should download the document from One Motoring but I could not find it.
