Grab’s new reward programme, Hitch Club, lets GrabHitch drivers earn points by completing rides to unlock reward tiers and receive greater savings.
Announced last Friday, this “first-of-its-kind” rewards programme was designed to help “everyday drivers in Singapore” by allowing them to “recover maximum driving costs”.
“Hitch Club will bring about greater benefits for GrabHitch drivers through app features such as no-show guarantees and other merchant deals,” said the company.
Currently in its beta phase, GrabHitch drivers will be rewarded with 10 Hitch Club points for every S$1 in fare that they collect. These points will be multiplied if they complete rides on weekends.

Depending on the number of points collected, drivers will then be allocated into one of the four Hitch Club tiers: Rookie, Go-Getter, Pro, and Champ.
Depending on the driver’s tier, they will be eligible for special benefits, such as extra savings through cashback, reduced platform fees, no-show guarantees, and priority hotline.
These perks will also be extended to commercial drivers, including GrabCar and GrabTaxi drivers, as part of company’s ongoing ‘Better 365’ campaign.

“Hitch Club shows our ongoing commitment to better support all drivers on our platform, commercial and non-commercial alike,’ said Andrew Chan, Head of Transport for Grab Singapore. “We recognize that GrabHitch rides are not-for-profit and want to do more to reward everyday drivers who share our vision for a car-lite society and give fellow commuters a ride.”
“Grab believes that social carpooling is key in helping us better utilise all vehicles and contribute towards a greener future and is committed to growing Singapore’s carpool culture. Drivers can expect more benefits in the coming months as we work hard to create an even more exciting platform for them.”
