Premium Automobiles has expanded its electric vehicle line-up in Singapore with the introduction of a Category A COE-eligible Zeekr 7X and the Changan Q05 compact electric SUV. The new models add to the Cat A choices available to buyers from Premium Automobiles, including Changan S05 and the Xpeng G6.

The new Zeekr 7X offers a lower-powered entry point into the premium electric SUV range, while the Changan Q05 broadens the brand's offering with a more accessible compact SUV. Both arrive as Singapore's electric SUV market continues to offer buyers a wider range of prices, specifications and driving ranges.

The updated Zeekr 7X is now available in three variants: RWD Standard, RWD Long Range and AWD Performance. The new RWD Standard is configured for Category A COE eligibility, producing 100kW (134hp) and 520Nm of torque. Its 75kWh battery provides a claimed WLTP city range of up to 598 kilometres.

In comparison, the 7X RWD Long Range delivers 335kW (449 hp) and a claimed WLTP city range of up to 788km, while the range-topping 7X AWD Performance produces 500kW (670hp) and 790Nm of torque. The latter will complete the century sprint in 3.7 seconds.

All three variants use an 800V electric architecture, with DC fast charging capable of taking the battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 10.5 minutes, according to Zeekr.

The latest 7X also receives redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new Mystical Purple exterior colour and updated driver-assistance technology, adding Remote Parking Assistance, Stop & Go Warning and Automatic Emergency Steering.

The new Zeekr 7X is priced from $279,999 at the time of writing.

Premium Automobiles also unveiled the Changan Q05 in Singapore at The Car Expo 2026, held on 24 and 25 October. The compact all-electric SUV joins the Changan S05 and S07, offering another option for buyers seeking an electric SUV at a more accessible price point. According to Changan, the Q05 is China's best-selling compact SUV, with more than 100,000 units sold.

Pricing for the Q05 has not been announced at the time of writing.

How do the newcomers stack up against their stablemates?

The new Zeekr 7X enters a market with alternatives at lower price points, including the Changan S05 and Xpeng G6 Air.

At $279,999, the Cat A Zeekr 7X costs $93,000 more than the Changan S05 and S$55,000 more than the Xpeng G6 at the prices listed above.

The Changan S05 is the most affordable of the three "Premium Automobiles", with 99kW of power and a claimed WLTP city range of up to 647km. The Xpeng G6 Air offers 110kW and a 68.5kWh battery, positioning it between the two other BEVs.

The Zeekr 7X counters with a larger 75kWh battery, a larger SUV package and a claimed city range of up to 598km. Buyers will need to weigh these features against the significant price difference, particularly when the Changan S05's published city-range figure is higher.

The Zeekr 7X adds another Category A option without requiring buyers to step up to a Category B COE for the premium electric SUV; whereas prospective compact electric SUV buyers can now consider the newly-launched Changan Q05.
