Why Race Car Engines Do Not Work In Road Cars
After almost five years since Mercedes initially unveiled their Project One concept car, the finalised, limited-production Mercedes-AMG ONE is finally ready for customer deliveries.
Half a decade of engineering does seem like a really long time, considering that most of the powertrain fitted to the AMG ONE are units that already have three years of continual development at the point in which the original concept car was first launched. To be fair to the AMG folks, the aforementioned three years of development was to develop the powertrain to be competitive in Formula One (F1).
This engine, and its derivatives, went on to win F1 constructor’s championships from 2014 - 2021.

Apple CarPlay Has Evolved: Will Now Show Driving Data, Gauges, and Climate Controls
Apple unveiled its next-generation CarPlay system at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2022) earlier today, and it promises to be much more than just a fancy reskin.
At the event, the Cupertino-based tech giant announced this major upgrade to their infotainment system, showing off its deep integration with hardware found on modern vehicles. Not only will drivers be able to display CarPlay content across multiple screens within the car, they would also be able to pull up vehicle data and select from a wide range of gauges, all designed by Apple.
Critical vehicle information such as engine temperature and fuel level measurements will be reflected onto the screen(s) in real-time.

June 2022 COE Results 1st Bidding: Significant Increases Across All Categories
In the 1st COE bidding exercise for June 2022, Cat A closed at $73,801, Cat B at $100,684, Cat C at $53,002, Cat D at $10,000 and Cat E at $100,697.
Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) received 874 bids and saw a $5,800 increase from the previous exercise. It closed at $73,801.
Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW) saw 851 bids and increased by $4,795. It closed at $100,684.
Cat C (Goods Vehicle & Bus) received 203 bids and increased by $1,501. It closed at $53,002.
Cat D (Motorcycles) had 859 bids in total and saw a $510 increase. It closed today at $10,000.
Lastly, Cat E (Open Category) received 316 bids and saw an increase of $4,796. It closed at $100,697.
