If I’ve already signed the purchase order to sell my car, can the dealer still change the agreed price?

Hi Tee Teck Hong!

Once the purchase order (PO) is signed by both parties, it is considered a legally binding agreement.

The dealer generally cannot change the agreed price unless both parties agree to amend the terms.

However, exceptions might apply if:

There are hidden issues with the car that were not disclosed

The PO includes clauses allowing for price adjustments

The dealer hasn’t completed the vehicle inspection yet

If you’re unsure, it’s best to review the signed PO and seek legal advice if necessary.
