BlueSG has been around for a few years and offers electric car-sharing services. However, did you know that their charging stations are open to private EV owners as well?

The downside is that they are required to move their vehicle after charging, otherwise they will face a fine. Blue SG Charging points are a Type 2 Vehicle inlet.

Locations:

BlueSG has the most charging points in Singapore, with about 1,000 points across 253 stations located near schools, community centres and outdoor HDB car parks.

Unfortunately, the service doesn’t provide charging points at shopping malls. To locate a BlueSG charging station, click here.

Charging duration: $1 per hour, for the first 3 hours. Subsequently, it's $2/hour. Their charging points supply an average of 3.7kW

Requirements: Users have to sign up via BlueSG's website or app.

Tesla

American electric car manufacturers Tesla recently set up their first charging point in Singapore and has plans to expand to more locations in the coming months.

We do not know much about the pricing but the Tesla V3 Superchargers are expected to shorten charging time to 15 minutes for a full charge instead of the usual one hour. They have been installed under a regulatory sandbox by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Kindly note that the Tesla V3 Supercharges will only be available for Tesla owners.

Location:

Orchard Central

Millenia Walk

EV owners can expect more charging stations popping islandwide, thanks to the electric mobility plans. We will update the location of newer charging stations when more have been installed.
