The all-new HR-V debuts with a vastly different interior and exterior design, and a hybrid powertrain.
The HR-V/Vezel nameplate has become something of an institution for families and private-hire drivers here in Singapore. With the introduction of the all-new HR-V, Honda promises that its much-loved compact SUV retains class-leading space, with significantly improved comfort levels.

The exterior design of the new HR-V has become a lot more grown-up, looking more like a premium SUV (such as the Toyota Harrier) than a compact SUV, although the coupe-inspired hidden rear door handles are still retained.

The interior hearkens to a modern minimalist aesthetic, which is initiated by the horizontal sweep of the instrument panel, resulting in an uncluttered interior and dashboard, with each element carefully positioned to contribute to the sense of space.
A new air diffusion system is present, which creates a curtain of fresh air beside and above passengers, flowing from unique L-shaped vents positioned in the top corners of the dashboard.

The new HR-V will be an e:HEV, powered by an internal combustion engine coupled to a two-motor hybrid powertrain. At the same time, a conventional petrol model will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired to a CVT gearbox should also be available.
