January 2019 COE Results: Premiums End Higher in First Bidding Exercise for 2019

In the first COE bidding exercise for 2019, Quota Premiums ended mostly higher across the board. The premiums are: $25,920 for Cat A, $32,200 for Cat B, and $32,909 for Cat E.

With 2,707 bids received, the Quota Premium (QP) for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) went up by $419, from $25,501 to $25,920.

For Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW), it received 1,818 bids and ended $1,199 higher to $32,200 from $31,001.

Cat C (Goods Vehicle & Bus) closed a dollar higher from the last exercise, from $27,001 to $27,002.

As for Cat D (Motorcycles), it was the only category that premiums went down on. It finished $179 lower to go from $3,789 to $3,610.

Lastly, for Cat E (Open category), it received 776 bids and the QP went up by $1,100 from the last exercise, from $31,809 to $32,909.
