Sime Darby Motors has a new flagship building in Ubi which offers various motoring options to its customers

The four-storey Sime Darby Motors hub at 1 Ubi Road 4 houses an assortment of used cars, certified pre-owned BMWs, the main BMW Motorrad showroom, and supplementary services. 

After extensive renovations, the Sime Darby property at 1 Ubi Road 4 has been transformed into a multi-option automotive centre that caters to different motorists and also bikers.

The first floor is divided into three sections for Sime Darby Auto Selection (SDAS, which deals in used cars of various makes and models), Performance Premium Selection Limited (PPSL, which specialises in certified pre-owned BMWs), and BMW Motorrad (sales, aftersales, parts and accessories for new BMW motorcycles). Individual lounges enhance the customer experience.

About 20 cars are on display at the ground level, with another 60 or so parked on the second level, making this one of Singapore’s largest dealerships selling used cars. As a professional outfit, it is also equipped with a delivery suite, a well-lit car photo studio, and a dedicated area for car grooming and quality checks. 

Every car being sold by SDAS has undergone a pre-sale inspection, and the units taken in are usually less than seven years old, with genuine mileage under 80,000 kilometres and a maximum of three owners.

The certified pre-owned BMWs being sold by PPSL have been put through the German automaker’s rigorous inspection process and come with a 12-month warranty for greater peace of mind. They are all less than five years old, some of which have been on the road for only a few months. Roughly half of the fleet comprises BMW management and demo units, with the other half from trade-ins by buyers of new BMWs (under PML), BYDs and Peugeots.

The under-one-roof retail setup includes a centralised quotation team, whose experienced purchasers are able to give instant quotes based on prevailing market prices. In-house workshops on the third floor provide technical support for valuation, servicing and repair.

In addition, the Sime Darby Motors Ubi hub has an authorised BMW service centre, Quick Lane multi/any-brand servicing, Hertz and Thrifty car rental operations, and FASST flexible car subscription.
