​July 2018 COE Results 2nd Bidding: COE Prices for Cars on the Rise

COE prices for cars, including those in the Open category, appear to be on the rise, ending the recent downward trend that started in May 2018.

The latest bidding exercise, which closed earlier today, saw the COE premiums for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) vehicles go up by S$7,699 – from $25,000 to $32,699.

Similarly, Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW) also saw an increase in prices, rising from $31,000 to $32,551 – a difference of $1,551 from the previous exercise.

On the other hand, COE premiums for Cat C (Goods vehicles & buses) vehicles continue to fall with a slight drop of $203 – from $31,092 to $30,889.

Cat D (Motorcycles) premiums also experienced a decline with prices going from $6,514 to $6,189 – a $325 decrease.

Lastly, Cat E (Open category) also saw an increase in premiums. It rose from $31,001 to $32,809 – an increase of $1,808 from the bidding exercise two weeks ago.
