MG Unveils MG4 EV and All-New MG ZS EV at the Singapore Motor Show
Chinese-owned British automaker MG officially launches their latest MG4 EV, as well as a heavily revised version of their best-selling MG ZS EV.
Chinese-owned British automaker MG officially launches their latest MG4 EV, as well as a heavily revised version of their best-selling MG ZS EV.These launches are part of the automaker’s goal to have a car that suits the needs and lifestyle of every user. Let’s start by taking a look at the MG4 EV, which has been built on an all-new platform that allows for greater performance and efficiency with fewer compromises.
It develops 250 Nm of instant torque, and has a WLTP range of 450 kilometres. Designed with driving engagement in mind, the car is rear-wheel drive, has a perfect 50:50 weight distribution for more stable and sportier handling.
As standard, all MG4 EV models will have MG Pilot, and passive safety is equally impressive, with a five-star NCAP rating. Other features include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charge capabilities, and an exterior design language that matches the sporty driving dynamics, whilst still ensuring that the body shell is spacious enough for five fully-grown adults.
The updated MG ZS EV sports a few key improvements over the previous car. MG has fitted it with a larger battery, now at 51 kWh instead of the 44.5 kWh of the outgoing car. It develops 280 Nm of instant torque from its front-mounted electric motor, which is good for a WLTP range rating of 320km. It has also received visual updates, such as a new front and rear fascia.
On the inside, it now has an all-digital virtual display, 360 degree camera, wireless mobile phone charger and rear aircon vents as standard.
Both MG cars will retail at the Singapore Motor Show at $82,888 without COE. You can also have either car with certain Motorshow-only specials, so do enquire on site if you are interested!
