New eVito Panel Van Unveiled With Greater Range From 60 kWh Battery
Mercedes has thoroughly reworked their eVito panel van, with the new vehicle now equipped with revised electrical gubbins and a larger battery pack that has a usable 60 kWh of capacity.
Mercedes has thoroughly reworked their eVito panel van, with the new vehicle now equipped with revised electrical gubbins and a larger battery pack that has a usable 60 kWh of capacity.Some of the changes include the inclusion of adjustable energy recuperation levels, which are changeable through the steering wheel mounted shift paddles. Mercedes has included a DAUTO mode, which uses information gathered from the safety assist systems to adjust the regeneration levels in real-time.
Three drive programs can also be selected, at a literal push of a button, to help the customer choose balance between comfort and range. You’ll be able to achieve 327 kilometres of emission-free mileage on a full charge, and the optimisations are a result of the lessons learnt from the Mercedes-EQ journey so far.
Charging is taken care of by a water-cooled AC on-board charger with a charging capacity of max. 11 kW, and up to 80 kW CCS fast charging capabilities. This means a 10 to 80% charge at a DC fast charging station in about 50 or 35 minutes respectively.
The battery pack has been stowed away in the vehicle underfloor, creating a cavernous 6.6m³ of loading volume. You can order yours in two different lengths, with the normal one coming in at 5,140 millimetres, and an extra-long version at 5,370 millimetres.
It also includes many other attractive features such as 17-inch wheels, a locking glove compartment, wooden floor and a multifunction steering wheel with travel computer. Numerous safety and assistance systems such as Active Brake Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST and Headlight Assist are also included as standard.
