The All-Electric Swedish SUV: Polestar 3 Set To Debut On 12 October
To expand its offerings, Polestar moves into the SUV space with the upcoming Polestar 3, featuring dual motors across the range and up to 510 horsepower.
Come 12 October, Polestar will launch its latest model and its first SUV, the Polestar 3. Dubbed "the SUV for the electric age" by the company, it has been built with a focus on design, performance and excellent driving dynamics.
Built on a new electric car-only technology base, which is developed by and shared with Volvo, this platform will feature advanced technological components, such as the latest centralised core computing and comprehensive safety systems.
Dual motors will feature across the range, with all versions at the point of launch fitted with a rear-biased dual motor powertrain with electric torque vectoring. Additionally, adaptive air suspension and active dampers are fitted as standard, allowing instantaneous adjustment of the suspension from comfortable to dynamic.
While no power figures for the base model are available at the moment, models fitted with the optional Performance Pack will not only receive enhanced tuning for the active dampers and air suspension, but will also see a power bump to 510 horsepower (380 kW) and 910 Nm of torque.
As a final touch, valve caps, seat belts and a laser-etched interior light strip in Polestar's signature Swedish Gold will be included as well.
