Polestar Space: With New Cars, Comes a New Car-Buying Experience

Polestar may be a relatively new electric car manufacturer, but it's making waves with every move - down to its unique car-buying experience. We take a look at their new Polestar Space showroom at 45 Leng Kee Road.

The new 210 m² gallery-like showroom, which sits along Singapore’s 800 metre-long automotive belt, features futuristic architectural elements that are synonymous with the automaker's minimalist design aesthetic.

A foundation of organic materials in a neutral colour palette – aluminium, stone, and glass – set the tone for the expansive showroom experience once inside, complemented by soft lighting from above.

Consumers are free to interact physically with the brand, such as opening up metal-finish hidden panels that reveal Polestar add-on parts. They can also touch and feel various upholstery and trim swatches that are available for Polestar vehicles. Not only that, there is an interactive table where consumers can customise their ideal Polestar car digitally.

During our visit to Polestar Space, we found several performance-oriented parts prominently showcased on the display wall by the side, such as the Brembo and Akebono brakes, Öhlins manually-adjustable dampers, and a selection of alloy wheels. Some of these components are part of Polestar's Performance Pack, also found on the Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor that we've recently reviewed.

The airy showroom currently features all three versions of the Polestar 2 - both Standard and Long Range variants of the Single Motor model, as well as the top-shelf Long Range Dual Motor. All versions will come with Plus Pack as standard. Detailed specifications can be found on the Polestar site. 

The Polestar Space will also function as a Polestar Destination, offering sales, service, and test drives of the Polestar 2 premium electric fastback. 

Andre Roy, Chief Executive Officer from Wearnes Automotive, says, "We are truly excited for the highly anticipated opening of the first Polestar Space in Southeast Asia. As the official retail and service partner to Polestar in Singapore, this is a key milestone for us. With Polestar’s striking design, impeccable build quality and attention to detail, we are confident that the Polestar 2 will do well in the premium EV segment.” 

To date, this is Southeast Asia's only Polestar Space, and one of only a handful in the entire APAC region. The Polestar Space is open from 8:30am to 7:00 PM from Monday to Saturday, and 10 AM to 7 PM on Sunday.
