I would like to ask if travelling on the expressway most right lane, a vehicle A follow the stipulated speed limit of 90km/hr, other vehicle B come from the behind start to tailgate: 1) does it mean that the vehicle A is road hogging? 2) should vehicle A oblige to give way for vehicle B to move at its faster speed?

Good day all! I have an issue and require some assistance! Last December, I got into a minor accident with a company lorry. The lorry reversed at the carpark and grazed the front of my vehicle, caused some minor dents and scratches. I think the lorry driver didn’t notice and he drove off. I tried to stop the lorry but was stuck at the traffic light after the carpark gantry. As such I wasn’t able to get the lorry driver particulars and information. Due to work reasons, I was only able to report the accident at a authorised workshop 2 days later. I have the camera footage and have made the accident report. Follow up, I went to a 3rd party workshop to seek repair consultation etc. The workshop have already send lawyer letter to the Lorry’s company but there isn’t any response from them till now… any advise? An acquaintance rented a family car that was due for scrapping soon because its COE was expiring. While driving in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the car was involved in an accident. It was the last car in a chain collision involving two other vehicles. The car in front, a Malaysian Proton, braked suddenly, leaving little time to stop. The rental contract stated that the excess is $2,000 for third-party and/or own damage, with an additional $2,000 excess for accidents or claims outside Singapore. The rental owner, however, claimed a total of $8,000, breaking it down as $2,000 for third-party, $2,000 for own damage, and doubling these amounts for overseas claims, saying the insurance imposes double for more complex cases outside Singapore. Worried that the owner might take legal action, my acquaintance quickly paid the amount. The car was repaired at a workshop in Malaysia, known to the rental owner. After the repair, we noticed that the car was fitted with sports rims and was in excellent condition. However, the rental owner has refused to provide any repair invoices to show the actual costs, even months after the accident. Friends later told my acquaintance that the amount paid seemed unreasonable, especially since he shouldn’t have been charged for the own-damage excess, or the doubled overseas excess. He sought legal advice and was informed that he was indeed overcharged. The rental owner should have only claimed $2,000 for third-party and $2,000 for the overseas excess, totaling $4,000. Can anyone confirm that the owner should not have claimed the own-damage excess in this case? Thank you.

Hi! Quick question. If I turn right when there is a “no turn right sign” but at the junction with a red light camera. Does anyone know if it usually captures? I did not technically beat a red light. I know I’ll probably have to wait a week or so to know for sure, but would like to have an idea or peace of mind if anyone knows. Thanks
