Hi Margaret, thank you for your question. In Singapore, under the Preferential Additional Registration Fee (PARF) Rebate administered by the Land Transport Authority:
If you deregister (sell for scrap/export) before 10 years, you receive a PARF rebate—a percentage of your ARF—based on your car’s age.
At 10 years old, the PARF rebate is $0, so selling or deregistering at that point won’t give any PARF rebate.
Your options then are:
Scrap/export the car (you may still get the COE rebate, if any), or
Renew the COE to continue driving.
For reference, here’s a table showing the PARF rebate by car age.
If you'd like to know more about your scrap's value https://www.motorist.sg/scrap-export-car our friendly consultant will contact you with a free, no-obligation quotation once you submit your details. Hope this helps!
