Hi, I’ve held my Class 2A license for more than 2 years. In May 2024, I received 8 demerit points. In December 2024, I passed my Class 2 license. Based on this, I believe I’m left with 4 demerit points. What happens if I accumulate more demerit points that exceed 12 points before reaching the 1-year mark of my Class 2 passing date? Will my Class 2 license be revoked?

Hi Afiq Danial! Under LTA rules, new Class 2 drivers face a one-year probation. Accumulating 13 or more demerit points during this time may result in license revocation. Existing demerit points can count toward the total. For specific concerns, contact LTA at 1800 2255 582. Drive safely!
