COE Quota to Decrease Further from August 2021 to October 2021

The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for August to October 2021 will be decreased to 13,984 – an average of 4,659 per month.

In comparison, the COE quota from May 2021 to July 2021 was 16,010 – an average of 5,334 a month. This is the third quarter in a row that COE quotas were reduced.

Announced by LTA in a press release today, the average monthly quota for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97kW) saw the smallest drop this quarter - dipping from 1,657 to 1,605, a reduction of 52.

The average monthly quota for Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97kW) dropped from 1,618 to 1,541 – decreased by 77.

For goods vehicles and buses in Cat C, the average monthly quota dropped from 314 to 230 – a decrease of 84.

The average monthly quota for Cat D (Motorcycles) also saw the largest decrease this quarter - from 1,228 to 889, a difference of 339.

Lastly, the average monthly quota for Cat E (Open Category) dropped from 517 to 394, a decrease of 123.
