The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for May 2021 to Jul 2021 will drop to 16,010 – an average of 5,334 a month.

In comparison, the COE quota from February 2021 to April 2021 was 17,115 – an average of 5,705 per month. This comes after the COE quotas saw a decrease in the last two quarters.

In a press release sent out by LTA, the average monthly quota for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97kW) saw a slight decrease this quarter - dropping from 1,766 to 1,657, a reduction of 109.

The average monthly quota for Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97kW) also dropped from 1,883 to 1,618 – a biggest drop of 265.

For goods vehicles and buses in Cat C, the average monthly quota dropped from 511 to 314 – a decrease of 197.

The average monthly quota for Cat D (Motorcycles) increased by 145, from 1,083 to 1,228.

Lastly, Cat E (Open Category) saw the smallest drop for this quarter – dipping from 592 to 517, a decrease of 75.
