Motorist and the Shane Ang Racing squad head to the streets of Songkhla, Thailand, for the season finale of the 2026 PT Maxnitron Racing Series
For the final two races of the 2026 PT Maxnitron Racing Series (PTRS), the Shane Ang Racing (SAR) team gears up for a fierce battle on the unforgiving street circuit that is the Songkhla Grand Prix.
An hour’s drive from Hat Yai, the seaside street circuit hosts one of the most highly anticipated racing events of the year, and it’ll be on these streets that the SAR team do battle to round off their racing season.
Motorist’s resident racer Aiden Chong, driver of the #69 Honda CR-Z, is currently third in the Siam Group N AM championship and eighth overall after a mechanical failure in Race 5 significantly cut his championship points haul. He’s looking forward to recovering as many points as he can in Songkhla to finish the season on a high.
The other members of the SAR squad continue their own championship charges, with Kenneth Ho continuing to lead both the AM and Overall championship standings in the Siam GTRC category.
Gladys Lam is still fourth in the Siam Eco AM standings and seventh overall, and she’s raring to go for this weekend. Ken Hooi and Ron Tay are both first-timers at the Songkhla street circuit and are eager to put on a good show.
Roy Tang will not make the trip to Songkhla this year, though he’s just secured the AM Class championship title in the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
As usual, the races will be streamed live on the PTRS Facebook page and YouTube channel in both English and Thai, so tune in to watch Singapore’s best drivers do battle on track!
