The Voyah Dream 9 ultra-luxury MPV is set to come to Singapore soon
Officially revealed at a star-studded launch in Beijing, China, the all-new Voyah Dream 9 ultra-luxury MPV is set to bring its Eastern elegance to our Southeast Asian shores in the near future.
The Dream 9 is the flagship model for Voyah, the premium arm of the Dongfeng group, and is also the first right-hand drive export model to be built in its 1,000,000-square-metre factory in Wuhan, China.
While local specifications and pricing information for the Dream 9 are yet to be announced, the version that was revealed at its global launch in Beijing promises big features in an equally big form factor.
At 5.3 metres long, the Dream 9 has a commanding presence, accentuated by the dual-colour LED projection headlights and the “Purple Star Pavilion” constellation design element just below the headlamps.
The chrome front grille features a light-up Voyah logo with a dragon scale pattern in the lower half of the front fascia. The Dream 9 also features a “Kunpeng” retractable bonnet ornament that’s inspired by the Chinese mythical creature of the same name. This crystal used to make the “Kunpeng” has over 2,500 individual cuts to showcase itself best when lit up.

Under the bonnet, the Dream 9 is powered by either a plug-in hybrid or a full electric powertrain. The plug-in hybrid utilises an 800-volt architecture for its electrical components, which allows for 350km of electric-only driving range from its 65kWh battery according to the CLTC scale.
The second-row seats are heated, ventilated, and massaging, and feature a pop-out tablet in the armrest that lets passengers control the Dream 9's various functions.
The EV version also uses an 800-volt architecture with a claimed range of 701km on a single charge of its 120kWh battery. Voyah also boasted about the Dream 9 using axial flux motors, which till now have only been used in high-performance cars like the Ferrari SF90.
The Dream 9 also comes standard with Voyah’s “Tiger Crouch” adaptive, 3-chamber, air suspension system. They showed off the efficacy of their suspension setup by first stacking two Dream 9s on top of each other, then having someone do a split between two of these stacks while the cars drove over speed bumps.
In conjunction with its suspension system, the Dream 9 also has rear-wheel steering as standard, with up to 10 degrees of movement to aid manoeuvrability at low speeds.
The constellation design element below the headlight cluster is much easier to see at night.
Voyah also showed off the strength of the Dream 9’s chassis by stacking six cars on top of each other and then driving the bottom car along; that’s over 15 tons of additional weight pushing down on that bottommost car. The cherry on top of this multi-layered Voyah cake was that after they removed the stacked cars, the bottommost car could still open and close all its doors and windows with no structural deformation at all.
The second-row seats can turn 180° to face the third row.
Inside the Dream 9, the extravagance continues with zero-gravity captain’s chairs in the second row complete with heated armrests and leg rests. Every seat in the Dream 9, even the third row, is also equipped with heating, ventilation, and a 326-point massaging function.
Additionally, when the Dream 9’s rear sliding doors open, the air suspension lowers the vehicle’s body while the second-row seats simultaneously rotate outwards by 45° to welcome passengers and make it easier for ingress.
The "Heaven and Earth in Harmony" 20-inch chrome rims match the hand-painted "Gilded Twin-String" coach lines along the side of the Dream 9.
The same seats are also capable of rotating to 90°, so passengers can sit in the car comfortably while facing outward, or 180°, so the second and third-row seats can face each other. Other interior features include the heating and cooling refrigerator, a 21.4-inch folding screen, a 35-speaker sound system, privacy glass, and electric window shades.
Domestic pricing for the Voyah Dream 9 starts at CNY 419,900, with further details on local pricing, specifications, and availability expected to be made available before the end of 2026.
