The Maxus MIFA 7 Elite gets even more "Flexi"ble for family duties
For families, a seven-seater needs to do more than just carrying seven people. The Maxus MIFA 7 Elite returns with new FlexiGlide movable third-row seats and a stunning Twilight Blush exterior colour, adding greater flexibility and choice to an already family-first electric MPV.
Us Singaporeans rarely have just one use for their car. A weekday might mean school runs and grocery shopping afterwards, while the weekend could call for extra luggage, a stroller or space for the whole family to have a picnic. That is where the updated Maxus MIFA 7 Elite makes a strong case for itself, with a cabin designed to adapt to whatever the day demands.
A family-mover that adapts to the family
The headline addition is the FlexiGlide third-row seats, which allows the seats to slide forward and back depending on how much passenger or luggage space is required. The new FlexiGlide feature now allows for the Maxus MIFA 7 Elite to offer best-in-class boot space in the CAT A MPV category.
With all three rows upright, the MIFA 7 Elite offers 280 litres of boot space. Move the third row forward and that increases to up to 395 litres, giving families more room for everyday cargo whilst retaining the practicality of all seven seats. Fold the third row all the way and luggage capacity increases from 760 litres to up to 880 litres, allowing the MIFA 7 Elite to be better suited to the realities of family life, be it shuttling your children to school in the mornings or filling the boot with groceries, strollers or larger items right after.
There is practical storage throughout the cabin too, with 45 mini storage compartments designed to keep everyday family essentials organised. When the third row is folded, the luggage compartment offers 1.2 metres of depth, giving the MIFA 7 Elite the versatility to handle both daily routines and longer family trips.
A cabin built around passenger comfort
The MIFA 7 Elite's 2+2+3 seating configuration puts two individual captain seats in the second row, emphasising the ever-growing need for personal space, while a 200mm wide centre aisle allows passengers to move between the second and third rows without having to fold the middle seats down.
That matters when getting young children and the elderly in and out of the car. The sliding doors also make access much easier in tight parking spaces, whereas the spacious 1.2-metre headroom and 152mm ground clearance contribute to a more accessible cabin.
Its 2.97-metre wheelbase provides generous cabin space and legroom, with an adult-friendly third row designed to keep passengers comfortable even in the back. The MIFA 7 Elite is also child-friendly too, with three ISOFIX-compatible seats.
The MIFA 7 Elite's family-first approach also extends to the driving experience. It comes with multi-link rear suspension that is designed to provide a smooth and comfortable ride, particularly over ever-increasing roadworks and uneven roads. Soundproofing, insulation and double-glazed front windows help to reduce road and wind noise, creating a quieter cabin for its occupants on both everyday drives and long journeys.
Perfect blush with the MIFA’s new shade
Alongside the new FlexiGlide seating, Maxus has introduced Twilight Blush as a new exterior colour for the MIFA 7 Elite, refreshing the model's exterior with a fizzle of colour.
An EV made for everyday family duties
The MIFA 7 Elite has a claimed WLTP City range of 550km. When it is time for a recharge, its 120kW DC charging capability can take the battery from 20 to 80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes, with 11kW AC charging supported too.
Technology is also built around making family motoring easier. The MIFA 7 Elite features a 360° panoramic camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, 360° blind spot monitoring and Automated Emergency Braking. Creature comforts include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system containing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and voice control as standard. The HI MAXUS App adds another layer of convenience too, allowing owners to monitor key information such as battery and range status, vehicle condition and location, alongside selected vehicle functions and settings.
