ERP around Orchard Road to resume from 7 September 2026 for the first time in six years
The 11 ERP gantries around Orchard will resume on weekdays starting 7 Sep 2026 from 11am to 7pm, at $1.00 per Passenger Car Unit after a six-year hiatus.
After reviewing traffic conditions around Orchard Road, Land Transport Authority (LTA) has stated that congestion has persisted and traffic speeds have been below optimal levels since October last year.
The ERP will now be active from 11am to 7pm on weekdays (except public holidays) for the Orchard Cordon, with motorists being charged per entry.
The Orchard Cordon consists of ERP gantries at 11 locations: Buyong Road, Cairnhill Road, Clemenceau Ave, Killiney Road, Kramat Road, Orchard Link, Orchard Road, Orchard Turn, Oxley Road, YMCA and Fort Canning Tunnel.
LTA had previously deactivated the ERP around Orchard Road six years ago on 6 April 2020 as a result of lowered traffic flow due to the pandemic.
Additionally, LTA has stated that they will continue to monitor congestion around Orchard Road on Saturdays and will assess whether to reimplement Saturday ERP operations for the Orchard Cordon for the next quarter.
