Hot off the heels of a strong opening race, Motorist and the Shane Ang Racing squad return to the track this weekend for a mid-season showdown in the 2026 PT Maxnitron Racing Series.
As the mid-point of the 2026 PT Maxnitron Racing Series (PTRS), the upcoming races at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand from 14 to 16 August 2026 will see fierce competition once again, as the drivers of the Shane Ang Racing (SAR) team take to the track to fight for their championship aspirations.
Motorist’s own Aiden Chong, driver of the #69 Honda CR-Z, is currently second in the Siam Group N AM championship and fourth in the overall championship standings after a podium-filled debut at the opening round of the season. He’s looking forward to another strong weekend to maximise his points and put himself firmly in the running for the title this year.
The other members of the SAR squad are also embroiled in their own championship battles, with Kenneth Ho leading both the AM and Overall championship standings in the Siam GTRC category. Gladys Lam sits fourth in the Siam Eco AM standings and fifth overall, while team boss Shane Ang is currently third on points in Siam GTMC.
A familiar face joins the team for this round as well in the shape of Ken Hooi, one of the drivers who was part of the winning team when Motorist challenged the 10-hour Super Endurance South East Asia Trophy race a few years ago. We even made a documentary about it, watch it here.
