Motorist is going racing with Aiden Chong and the Shane Ang Racing team for the 2026 season

Motorist has once again joined forces with Singaporean racecar driver Aiden Chong and the Shane Ang Racing team to support their campaign in the 2026 PT Maxnitron Racing Series.

This renewed partnership follows the success of Motorist’s involvement as an Official Partner of the Shane Ang Racing team in recent years. However, 2026 marks the first time Motorist is getting involved in a full season of regional circuit racing. 

For Motorist, the partnership represents a natural extension of our passion for all things automotive. While most know us for simplifying vehicle ownership, motorsport has always been an integral part of car culture. 

By supporting the team's 2026 campaign, we’re not just putting our name on racecars, we’re backing Singaporean motorsport development and helping local drivers compete on the international stage.

The collaboration will see Motorist represented across all eight cars being fielded by Shane Ang Racing throughout the 2026 season of the PT Maxnitron Racing Series (PTRS), giving us a presence on one of the largest team line-ups on the grid.

Spearheading our presence on the grid will be Motorist’s very own Aiden Chong, our writer, presenter, and in-house racing driver, whose Honda CR-Z racecar will carry prominent Motorist branding as part of his 2026 campaign in the Group N category of PTRS.

Aiden will be racing in the #69 Honda CR-Z in the Group N category.

Over the years, the Shane Ang Racing team has established itself as one of the region’s most recognised racing outfits, and the only racing entity in Singapore that focuses on developing and promoting Singaporean racers.

Other members of the Shane Ang Racing squad include some of Singapore’s best drivers: Shane Ang, Kenneth Ho, Roy Tang, Gladys Lam, Kishen B, and Ron Tay. All eight team members are accomplished and experienced racers and will be competing across various PTRS categories, with team owner Shane Ang pulling double duty in both Group A and Siam GTMC. 

PTRS has rapidly established itself as one of Thailand’s premier racing championships, attracting drivers from across the region and beyond. With an extremely high standard of competition, the series offers some of the closest and most exciting racing in Asia.

The PTRS season consists of seven races over three weekends, with the opening round set for June 5 to Jun 7, 2026. Every race is streamed live on the PTRS Facebook page and YouTube channel in both English and Thai, so don’t miss it!
