PSA: These Transport & Automotive Services Are Exempted from Suspension

Transport and automotive services are exempted from the Singapore
Government-issued suspension. Here is the list of services that will continue
with their business.
Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the Singapore Government announced that most workplaces will be closed from 7 April to 4 May 2020.
However, essential services, such as health and social, food, manufacturing, and banking will continue to operate.
Thankfully, transport and automotive services will continue, with a few exceptions.
Here is the list of transport & automotive services
that are exempted from the suspension:

Transport and Storage Services
|
- Provision of public transport services, including key supporting services and suppliers - Monitoring and management of traffic and road operations - Provision of point-to-point transport services (including Taxis, Private Buses, Private Hire Cars), and key supporting services and suppliers - 3rd party logistics providers, freight forwarders, trucking, air express integrators - Transportation that is necessary to support other Essential Services

Banking and Finance (For motor insurance) |
- Insurance services (e.g. claims servicing, policy renewal and servicing, policy inception, insurance broking, financial advisory)

Others
|
- Vehicle recovery and repair services (For emergency vehicle services only, no vehicle grooming) |
Earlier this week, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) will be suspended at most locations from 6 April 2020 onwards.
We are still in the midst of confirming if other motoring-related services, such as used car dealers, workshops, scrap yards, and vehicle inspection centres, will continue. Please stay tuned for updates.
Until then, please maintain a safe social distance from others, wash your hands regularly, and most importantly, defer all non-essential travel and outings.
