Volkswagen Group Singapore (VGS) is celebrating International Pet Day by bringing together furry friends and their humans for a day of rides and fun activities at its showroom.

In celebration of International Pet Day on 11 April 2026, the German automaker will transform its showroom located at 247 Alexandra Road into a pet-friendly playground from 10am to 6pm, where both humans and their furry companions are in for a treat. 

The event, titled ‘Unleash the Zoomies’, serves as the grand finale to an 11-day fundraising drive. For every test drive in a Volkswagen, Skoda, or CUPRA completed between 1 and 11 April 2026, ten dollars will be donated to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). 

Visitors can expect more than just wagging tails in the showroom. The home of these four-wheel machines will play host to a curated pet market featuring artisanal treats, accessories, and pet supplies for the four-legged friends. Ten per cent of the proceeds from the market will also go to the SPCA. 

Quirky offerings, including goat milk treat-making workshops and pet tarot readings for the spiritually inclined, add a playful twist to the event. 

Beyond the treats and trinkets, the event will also feature sharing sessions by SPCA and AIA Singapore, offering insights designed for both seasoned pet owners and aspiring ‘pawparents’ on responsible pet ownership, care, and animal welfare.

Motorists who have been eyeing a new ride can also take this opportunity to test-drive some of VGS’s models, with their furry companions welcomed to hop along for the ride. 

The first 30 participants who complete a test drive on the day will also receive exclusive goodie bags, adding an extra incentive to get behind the wheel for a good cause.

“Volkswagen Group Singapore has supported numerous animal-friendly causes with our partnerships and activations over the years, we also offer various models that fit seamlessly into pet-friendly lifestyles. This fund-raising event with the SPCA was therefore a natural fit for us, as we hope to make a positive and lasting difference for our furry friends and their owners,” shared John Gaw, Sales and Marketing Director at Volkswagen Group Singapore.
