BYD starts a new era for Singapore Marathon as its new title sponsor

Adidas also joins the marquee sports event as the presenting sponsor, while Standard Chartered (StanChart) continues its involvement as the official bank partner. 

The Singapore International Marathon is entering a new chapter with BYD, the Chinese automaker that topped the country's new-car registrations in 2025, as its new title sponsor for the 2026 edition. 

This marks the first sponsorship change since 2002, with StanChart holding the marathon's sponsorship title for over two decades. 

The race, now officially known as the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas, will take place from 4 to 6 December 2026, sporting a refreshed identity for Singapore’s annual premier running event.

With sportswear manufacturer adidas on board as the marathon’s first-ever presenting sponsor, there will be a range of Singapore-exclusive merchandise, including official race T-shirts for participants and special-edition track shoes.

BYD puts rubber to tarmac with Singapore International Marathon 2026.

Organised by SG International Marathon Pte Ltd (SGIMPL), the revamped event will adopt a three-day race format. It will kick off with kids categories on Friday morning (Dec 4), followed by the 5km and Standard Chartered 10km races in the evening. The adidas half-marathon will take place on Saturday morning (Dec 5), with the BYD marathon concluding the event on Sunday morning (Dec 6).

To improve the event experience following congestion issues in previous editions, organisers will cap participation at 52,000 entries this year, which is 3,000 fewer than last year’s edition.  

BYD will also be featuring a fleet of BYD and DENZA vehicles across various touchpoints during the race weekend. 

Registration for the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas will open in April 2026, and further information will be announced in the coming months at www.singaporeinternationalmarathon.
