Construction has begun on the Porsche Experience Centre Singapore (PECS), with Porsche Asia Pacific officially breaking ground on the landmark facility at Changi.

Scheduled to open in 2027, PECS will be the 11th centre worldwide and the first to be built in Southeast Asia. The 2km-long circuit will also be the first permanent racetrack to be constructed in Singapore.

Located on a 14-hectare site next to Changi Airport, the centre is designed to appeal to both driving enthusiasts and families. At its heart will be a 2km-long handling circuit, complemented by dynamic driving zones such as a drift circle and drift handling track, and immersive racing simulators. Visitors can also expect themed exhibitions, rotating displays from the Porsche Museum archives, and a range of dining options.

In a global first, the Singapore PEC will also integrate a large-scale aftersales facility. Sustainability is a key pillar of the project, which will feature a significant electric vehicle fleet and eco-friendly infrastructure in line with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific, and attended by partners including the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Changi Airport Group, and Eurokars Group.

Matthias Becker, Porsche AG Board Member for Sales and Marketing, hailed the development as a “signal of our long-term commitment to Southeast Asia.”

STB’s Assistant Chief Executive, Jean Ng, added that the project aligns with Singapore’s Tourism 2040 vision to create distinctive, world-class attractions.

Ahead of the ceremony, Porsche AG and Porsche Asia Pacific signed a memorandum of understanding with Changi Airport Group to integrate the Experience Centre into the wider Changi precinct. The partnership will focus on enhancing visitor experiences and driving sustainable development, building on existing collaborations such as Porsche at Jewel.

Once complete, the centre will serve as a regional hub for brand immersion, tourism, and customer engagement.

“This new Porsche Experience Centre in Singapore will serve as a regional hub for brand immersion and elevated customer engagement. Through our close collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport Group, we aim to create guest experiences that are seamless, memorable, and uniquely Porsche,” said Mr Hannes Ruoff, CEO Porsche Asia Pacific.
