The iconic Corvette sports car will be available for order in Singapore from 28 July
The American sports car brand Corvette will arrive in Singapore on 28 July with the iconic Stingray as the first model available for order.
For the first time, the iconic Corvette sports car will officially be available for sale in Singapore, introduced by Alpine Motors, the newly appointed local distributor for General Motors. Formerly known as the Chevrolet Corvette, the Corvette has been spun off into its own performance brand starting with this, the 8th-generation model.
The variant available at launch will be the Corvette Stingray, a mid-engined, 6.2-litre V8 powerhouse with 495 horsepower, a 0-100km/h time of just 2.9 seconds, and a top speed of 312 km/h. The Corvette Stingray will be available from 28 July in limited units.
The Corvette Stingray will also be specced as standard with the Z51 Performance Package, which features track-tuned suspension, performance exhausts, larger brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, and other performance-oriented upgrades. All Stingrays will also feature a Bose Performance Series sound system and a nose-lift system for the front end.
Fans of Corvette will be able to view the sports car at a launch pop-up at ION Orchard, Level 1 Atrium, from 28 July to 3 August. The Corvette flagship showroom will open at 1 Commonwealth Lane, Singapore 149544, on 28 July as well.
