Wearnes Harley-Davidson showroom opens with great fanfare, including a 50-bike charity convoy and about 500 guests

The classic American motorcycle brand opened its new Leng Kee home with a bang and a loud, proud brigade of Harley-Davidsons.

Centrally located at 28 Leng Kee Road, the Harley-Davidson hub by Wearnes Automotive not only houses a showroom for up to 16 Harley motorcycles, but also functions as a friendly hangout for Harley riders and supporters. There are over 2,200 Harley-Davidson motorbikes on the road in Singapore. 

About 50 of the bikes took part in a charity convoy on May 11 to mark the showroom opening. The proceeds from the charity activity raised funds to cover the race entry fees for the children who participated in the Unlabelled Run’s 1km fun run, organised by The New Charis Mission.

In line with the iconic American brand’s corporate philosophy, Singapore’s Harley-Davidson dealership under Wearnes is designed to immerse customers and visitors alike in the H-D lifestyle born in the USA. Therefore, the full lineup of current Harley-Davidson motorcycles are displayed amidst a variety of merchandise to offer even more life and style to the riders, including their pillion passengers. Heartwarming stories and historical highlights from the world of Harley-Davidson are also showcased for inspiration. 

Harley-Davidson Asia Pacific vice president Dimitris Raptis and Wearnes Harley-Davidson Singapore CEO Andre Roy jointly did the honours.

You don’t need to be part of H.O.G (Harley Owners Group), Hell’s Angels or Heaven’s Devils to appreciate the rock fashion apparel, designer accessories, and licensed products which complete the Harley-riding experience. You don’t even need a Class 2 bike licence to look like you ride a rumbling big bike, although the Harley hero getup won’t work as well if you ride a cute scooter. 

For folks who actually ride Harleys, the one-stop technical support provided by Wearnes at 28 Leng Kee Road should be right up their American-Asian alley. 

A sheltered porch provides convenient, weatherproof drop-off and pick-up, while the full aftersales service - scheduled maintenance, unscheduled troubleshooting, quality repairs, personal customisation - is handled by certified technicians and their master technician as the leader of the pack. 

Dimitris Raptis, vice president at Asia Pacific of Harley-Davidson, said at the Saturday event: “The new showroom is a testament to the strength and support of the Harley-Davidson brand within the riding community in Singapore.”
