The 2nd COE bidding for October 2018 has concluded with Cat A falling to $25,556. Cat B prices only rose by $1, and Cat E saw an increase of $348, to $32,900.

With 1,811 bids received, Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) premiums went down by a whopping S$2,901, going from $28,457 to $25,556. This amount is the second lowest of the year thus far, with only the 1st bidding exercise of July 2018 being lower.

For Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW), with 1,856 bids received, the premium only went up by a mere $1. The current premium now stands at $31,302.

Similar to the last bidding exercise, the largest increment came from Cat C (Goods vehicles & buses). It saw a $1,000 increase from the bidding exercise two weeks ago. The COE premium is currently going at $29,501.

For Cat D (Motorcycles), the premium fell by $158 from the last exercise. It went from $4,109 to $3,951.

Lastly, for Cat E (Open category), it saw a slight increment of $348, going from $32,552 to $32,900

Interested buyers looking to purchase Cat A cars should consider purchasing one now as the current COE premium is quite favourable. We also have a gut feeling that the premium for Cat A will definitely bounce back up in November and December.
