The 2nd COE bidding for October 2018 has concluded with Cat A falling to $25,556. Cat B prices only rose by $1, and Cat E saw an increase of $348, to $32,900.

With 1,811 bids received, Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) premiums went down by a whopping S$2,901, going from $28,457 to $25,556. This amount is the second lowest of the year thus far, with only the 1st bidding exercise of July 2018 being lower.

Similar to the last bidding exercise, the largest increment came from Cat C (Goods vehicles & buses). It saw a $1,000 increase from the bidding exercise two weeks ago. The COE premium is currently going at $29,501.

Lastly, for Cat E (Open category), it saw a slight increment of $348, going from $32,552 to $32,900

Interested buyers looking to purchase Cat A cars should consider purchasing one now as the current COE premium is quite favourable. We also have a gut feeling that the premium for Cat A will definitely bounce back up in November and December.
