Get up Close and Personal with the Made-In-Singapore IONIQ 5!

Hyundai wants to spread greater awareness of their flagship IONIQ 5 EV. And the Korean automaker is doing so with its centrally-located IONIQ 5 Pop-up Stores at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.

The featured example came off the production line at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS). IONIQ 5 cars are built on Hyundai’s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which allows for unique body shell proportions on an elongated wheelbase.

Sustainability is the name of the game here. It may have been constructed with eco-friendliness in mind, but do not be fooled into thinking that performance has been sacrificed in the pursuit for greenness. Strong performance, from a variety of different powertrain configurations, has then been paired with ultra-fast charging capabilities and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function for maximum day-to-day usability.

Aside from being able to check out the IONIQ 5, visitors will also be able to meet Spot. This robot dog plays an integral role in the production of the car, as it allows engineers to conduct more consistent quality control inspections.

But Spot will take on a less stressful role throughout the duration of pop up, performing for eventgoers on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6pm – 8pm; and on Saturday and Sundays from 3pm – 8pm. The event is set to conclude on the 21st of May, and is open on weekdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and from 10 am to 9 pm on weekends.
