RFID Tags for Season Parking No Longer Need to be Displayed from 1 April 2018

The Housing Development Board (HDB) will be doing away with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, with effect from 1 April 2018.
No, this isn’t an April’s Fools joke. Starting 1 April 2018, season parking holders will no longer need to display their RFID tags in their vehicle.
The announcement was made by HDB earlier today.
Instead of the tags, HDB enforcement officers will access a driver’s season parking information via their Electronic Handheld Terminals.
The RFID tag does not store any personal information about the season parking holder. However, HDB recommends cutting the tag before throwing it away.
To apply, renew, or check your season parking’s validity, simply visit HDB’s website.
