The all-new NX line-up heralds a new era for Lexus design, driving performance and electrification.

Lexus has launched the all-new NX in Singapore, the first model of Lexus' next-generation line-up, encompassing a new design language and technological upgrades.

Three different powertrains will be offered in Singapore, including the hybrid Lexus NX 350h, the sporty Lexus NX 350 F SPORT and the first-ever Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) in Lexus history, the Lexus NX 450h+ F SPORT.

These models follow the Lexus Driving Signature tuning philosophy and are in line with its global electrification strategy to accelerate the roll-out of electrified vehicles.

The bodywork of the NX is a myriad of curved surfaces and sharp angles, with dynamic proportions that express agility and a road-gripping look.

Optimum packaging has been achieved with the use of the Lexus Global Architecture K (GA-K) platform, providing more cabin space and a generous load compartment.

The front bumper is shaped for improved air flow and downforce. The headlamps are entirely black to accentuate the L-shaped daytime running lights.

The familiar Lexus spindle architecture has been deepened with a three-dimensional design that starts from the spindle grille and extends significantly toward the rear fenders.

The rear bumper has an opening to balance rear suspension movement. For the rear combination lamps, an elongated light bar spans across the centre of the vehicle and combines with the independently positioned L-shaped lamps.

Additionally, F-Sport models of the Lexus NX get special 20-inch alloy wheels, a spoiler on the lower bumper, and front-side garnishes that provide a sportier outlook.

The interior is focused on creating a welcoming, hospitable space for each occupant. This human-centred cockpit philosophy enables a more seamless and intuitive connection between the driver and car to help enhance concentration while driving.

The Touch Tracing Operation is newly adopted in the NX, which combines a Head-up Display with touch sensor switches on the steering wheel.

In addition, the Head-up Display offers three different modes which drivers can select according to different driving situations.

Advanced multimedia & safety systems

At launch, the Lexus NX will be available with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine tagged to a hybrid system. The system pumps out 240bhp, with a peak torque of 239Nm. This enables the Lexus NX to propel from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.7 seconds.

However, starting from Q1 next year, customers will also be able to opt for two new models. A PHEV will be available, which also utilises a 2.5-litre engine and is the most powerful model of the trio, providing drivers with 304bhp and 227Nm of torque. The PHEV is additionally assisted by an 18.1kWh lithium-ion battery that offers up to 76km of EV-only range.

Also debuting next year is the Lexus NX350 F Sport. This sport-oriented variant will be powered by a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine pushing out 275bhp and 430Nm of torque. This package is mated to an eight-speed automatic and an AWD system.
