In general, any alternations carried out on a vehicle may adversely affect the vehicle’s safety and its operation. Prior to any conversion, vehicle owners are required to submit an application to the Vehicle Engineering Division of Land Transport Authority for the change. The application must include relevant installation details and supporting certification from the vehicle manufacturer stating that the fuel tank replacement will not adversely affect the design and construction of the vehicle.
