My BMW X6M E71 had an engine failure in June 2017, and Munich Auto replaced a refurbished engine which was flown in from a BMW plant in Germany. Last year, the engine failed again as the warranty ended after 1 year and 4 or 5 months later. (Munich gives 1 year warranty). Now, my car is still in Munich Auto, and they're telling me to pay $5000 just to check whether I can repair it or need to purchase a new engine. I find it too unreasonable to accommodate to their ridiculous request so I intend to bring it to BMW Asia or take legal action against this unreasonable demand. However, I'll need a good lawyer that has vast knowledge about automobiles. Kindly advise me what I should do.
