A First Look At The 2022 Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner

Bentley Mulliner has announced the release of the Flying Spur Mulliner. It sets to be the ultimate in four-door luxury Grand Tourer and Mulliner’s first electrified Bentley.

The Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner was unveiled at California's prestigious Monterey Car Week. It is the most luxurious Flying Spur to date, designed, engineered, and handcrafted entirely in the United Kingdom. Customers who want an even greater emphasis on elegant details will be drawn to this new model.

For those unaware, Bentley Mulliner is Bentley's renowned bespoke commissioning division and the world's oldest coachbuilder. Along with the Continental GT and Continental GT Convertible, the Flying Spur Mulliner will be the third member of the newly formed Bentley Mulliner Collections family.

The Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner features a "Double Diamond" front grille, a chrome lower grille, as well as bespoke Mulliner branded wing vents and Satin Silver painted mirror caps.

It also has self-levelling wheel caps that keep the wheels upright as they rotate. The iconic Bentley Flying B will be electronically deployed and illuminated, while the Flying Spur Mulliner also features jewel fuel and oil caps.

Interior

A Mulliner illuminated outer treadplates and deep-pile Mulliner overmats welcome passengers inside the cabin, which features eight custom-made, three-colour combinations curated by Mulliner. The sumptuously appointed cockpit is enhanced by accent colour piping and unique Mulliner embroidery on the hand-stitched seats.

One of the curated interiors, described as Ascot, uses Imperial Blue leather on the instrument panel, door trims, and headlining, while Camel, a light tan leather, emphasises the style of the seats.

White micro-piping, embroidery, and an accent line add a third colour to the one-of-a-kind Mulliner interior. Other silver-accented combinations include Hotspur and Beluga and Linen and Brunel.

The Mulliner Driving Specification comes as standard, including a "Diamond-in-Diamond" quilting on the seats and three-dimensional leather to the doors. The accent surrounding the centre console, instrument panel, and finishes under the door waist rail matches the contrast seat piping.

The diamond milled technical finish applied to the centre and rear consoles combines modern craftsmanship and breathtaking luxury. A stunning brushed silver Mulliner clock sits in the centre of the dashboard, alongside chrome bullseye vents.

The classic Bentley theme is carried over to the LED driver's instrument panel, featuring stylish new and exclusive Mulliner graphics. The now-famous Bentley Rotating Display, sports pedals, heated duo-tone 3-spoke steering wheel, and panoramic sunroof add to the opulence.

Drivetrain

The Flying Spur Mulliner is available with Bentley's V8, W12 powertrains and a new V6 Hybrid engine.

The new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 has a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h), while the 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 is capable of reaching 207 mph (333 km/h). Lastly, the new V6 Hybrid delivers a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h).

Customers that purchase the Flying Spur Mulliner will receive their leather-bound keys in a one-of-a-kind, Mulliner-branded handcrafted presentation box that matches the three-colour cabin configuration of their car. The two keys are held together by colour-coordinated cases with contrast stitching.

The Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner's exclusive electrically operated picnic tables are mounted behind the front seats and can be activated with the push of a button.

Pricing

The pricing of the Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner has yet to be announced as of now, but it is going to cost you a pretty penny for the ultimate statement sedan. We will update the price when we get that information.
