July 2020 COE Results 2nd Bidding: Prices Drop Slightly After Previous Hike
In the 2nd COE Bidding Exercise in July 2020, prices fell slightly across the board compared to the first bidding exercise, except for Cat E.
With 2,485 bids received, Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) closed $821 lower than the previous exercise, at $32,699.
Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW) saw an auspicious drop of $888, closing at $35,001 with 2,497 bids received.
Cat C (Goods Vehicle & Bus) closed $614 lower at $23,888. It received 759 bids in total.
Cat D (Motorcycles) saw the most significant decrease of $1,192. It closed at $6,510 and received 1,355 bids in total.
Lastly, for Cat E (Open category), 714 bids were received, and a closing price of $35,001 was announced; this is a $12 increase from the first July bidding exercise, and coincidentally, is the exact same price as the Cat B pricing.
