In the following video, a stuntwoman demonstrates several safety techniques that could save your life if you were to ever get hit by a car.
Pedestrians are usually most at risk when it comes to road accidents. Just last week, three pedestrians were ploughed down by a lorry as they were waiting on a payment near Yio Chu Kang MRT station.
Although there are many factors to take into account, it is possible for pedestrians to increase their chances of survival if they were to get hit in an accident.
Produced by Insider Edition, the video demonstrates several safety techniques by professional stuntwoman Tammie Baird.
According to her, pedestrians should attempt picking up the leg closest to the car and rolling onto the hood of the vehicle. Doing this will minimize the chance of getting pulled under the vehicle.
Another key point that she highlighted is to always protect your head and neck, as they are the most vital parts of your body. You can do so by using your hands to shield these areas at the point of impact.
