The fully electric Audi e-tron S Sportback model has been updated with innovative features, enhancing its performance and making it more dynamic than ever before.

One key talking point of this vehicle is its use of three electric motors in a mass-produced car. With that also comes a new generation of Audi's quattro system with electric torque vectoring, and also outstanding aerodynamics with the aid of intelligent technology.

Dynamic Performance

You'll find two electric motors on the rear axle of the new e-tron S Sportback. All three motors produce a combined 496bhp and 973 Nm of torque when the car is put in Sport mode. But do not assume that the car has been built for pure performance.

To boost efficiency, only the rear electric motors are engaged if the car is in its normal driving mode. The front electric motor runs only when the driver demands higher performance. With a full charge, the Audi e-tron S Sportback achieves ranges of up to 370 km in the WLTP cycle.

These traits are then further enhanced by intelligent technology, which helps Audi better optimise the car's aerodynamics. With the use of optional virtual exterior mirrors and flow-optimised wheel arch extensions, the Audi e-tron S Sportback has a drag coefficient rating of 0.26.

In addition to the electric all-wheel drive, the vehicle is equipped with electric torque vectoring with active and fully variable torque distribution on the rear axle. Shifting to S gear, it provides its full boost performance for eight seconds, where a century sprint takes just 4.5 seconds, capable of reaching a top speed of 210 km/h.

Dominating Presence

The Audi e-tron S Sportback reveals a dominating robust exterior with its front and rear bumpers having strong contours, along with large and expressive air curtains. The dimensions of the wheel arches are 23 millimeters wider than its predecessor, which serves to enhance the car’s strong exterior.

The design has a nice touch with silver attachments at the front and rear end to add highlights. This along with the aluminum exterior mirror housings are exclusive features of the S model. Wheel arch extensions in this model produce an even sportier look. Large parts of the body’s lower section can be painted in a contrasting color upon request.

The car can be equipped with optional Matrix LED headlights that offer practical functions for drivers, for example in narrow areas where it shows the car’s position in the lane and helps the driver to remain safely in the center.

Embedded With Smart Technology

Built with a modern touch, the interior runs on fully digital controls, infotainment, and assist systems. Audi’s e-tron route planner is connected to online services to assist the in-built navigation system. It helps derive the fastest route including optimum charging stops by taking into account factors such as traffic data, the driver’s driving profile, and the duration of the charging stops.

If you are planning trips up north once the borders reopen, the e-tron aims to make that experience as painless as possible, with its built-in route planner, that is intelligent enough to suggest an alternate route if it's more efficient for the driver!
