Anny and Celine have been helpful with my car scrapping. However, a piece of advice for people who are going to scrap their cars start looking for the best price 1–2 months early. Inform them of your handover date and meet up with dealers early to finalise the car price based on the actual condition after inspection. Do not simply select a high-priced dealer based on initial offers, as they tend to lowball after viewing the car with various reasons. As a seller, you may also tend to wait until the last minute before meeting the buyer to scrap your car. Not wanting to waste more time, you may just proceed with a middle-range price. This might not be Motorist’s fault but rather their network of partners who may not always be honest. There are always some black sheep around.
