A worker sitting cross-legged on the carriage deck of a lorry may be uncomfortable. Can I allow my workers to sit on low stools or planks and still be in compliance with the new regulation?

As the primary objective is to reduce the risk of workers falling off the lorry, the stools or planks that are provided for use by the workers so transported must be relatively low. For example, workers are unlikely to exceed 1.1 metres if they sit on low stools or planks that are no more than 20 centimetres in height from the surface of the carriage deck.
