Every CNG vehicle is required to carry a 'CNG' marking affixed to its front bumper and rear bumper or boot respectively.

The 'CNG' markings enable the SCDF officers to identify CNG vehicles readily. It is important for SCDF officers to adopt appropriate extrication procedures in emergency situations such as road accidents involving CNG vehicles.
