A. For registered vehicles:

(i) Obtain a Transaction Pin (TPin) from LTA before the vehicle's de-registration date; and

(ii) You may use the TPin to submit an online application [login to your e-Services @ONE.MOTORING account via your SingPass (for Singaporeans/Singapore PRs), EASY (for ACRA-registered businesses and companies that have an EASY account), or LTA-issued user ID and password (for foreigners and businesses/ companies that do not have an EASY account) (Ownership > De-registration > Authorise a submitter to de-register)] to authorise a submitter to de-register your vehicle at an LTA Appointed Scrapyard. The submitter should bring along the following documents to the scrapyard:

(a) Duly completed de-registration application form (Form D01);

(b) Original NRIC (Singaporean, Singapore PRs & Malaysian) or Passport (foreigner other than Malaysian) of the submitter authorised by you to de-register the vehicle at the scrapyard; and

(c) Road Tax fees (if the road tax is outstanding at the point of vehicle de-registration).

The submitter should ensure the vehicle is scrapped at one of the LTA Appointed Scrapyard within 5 calendar days of your online application. Otherwise, the application will lapse and you will have to re-apply. Please note that your vehicle will remain registered until it is de-registered at an LTA Appointed Scrapyard; or

(iii) Alternatively, bring the TPin to an LTA Appointed Scrapyard along with the following:

(a) Duly completed de-registration application form (Form D01);

B. For de-registered vehicles (i.e. COE expired vehicles, non-payment of road tax for 12 months, etc):

If the vehicle is already de-registered, please tow it to an LTA Appointed Scrapyard with the following documents:

(i) Duly completed de-registration application form (Form D01); and

(ii) Original NRIC (Singaporean, Singapore PRs & Malaysian) or Passport (foreigner other than Malaysian) of the submitter.

Note:
1. LTA will notify the last registered owner of the vehicle's de-registration, the details of any PARF/COE rebate(s) and/or arrears of road tax/late renewal fee(s), if applicable.
2. If your vehicle's de-registration application is received after its road tax/lay-up/road tax exemption period has expired, the arrears of road tax and late renewal fees will be payable.
3. If there is any residual road tax, refund will be effected upon de-registration of the vehicle and it will be made to the last registered owner. No application is necessary.
