If a tourist rents a vehicle in Singapore and commits a traffic offence, but the car rental company receives the letter only after the tourist has already left the country, will the tourist be liable for the fine?

Hi Hansel, for most rental companies, the customer is required to leave their credit card details for this very reason. That way, any damages or traffic offences will be charged directly to the customer instead of the rental company.
