All that Singaporeans need to do is to refrain from booking a new car (concertedly) for 3 months straight. Once car dealers' order books dry up, they have no reason to keep bidding higher and higher! I don't believe there are enough foreigners buying cars that can take up the 1,600 or so Cat A/B/E certs every fortnight if locals stop buying. In fact, I know of many expats who refuse to buy a car here, even with their high income & car allowance. Why are we being so silly? So keep that hard earned money, fella citizens!

We pay ABSD if you want 2nd house or more. Shall we also make those who want to own 2 or more cars to pay more additional taxes. Also, shall we also limit the number of times or MOP for each person to own a car😂😂😂

Best method to remove cars on the road is to implementing manual transmission cars only.

1. That would put off 80% of drivers from driving.

2 it's safer for road users as a driver must utilize both arms & legs to operate a manual cars instead of enabling them to use 1 hand for mobile phone or other monkey business. Solely focus on driving.

3. Stuck in jam, too bad. Don't drive! Still wanna drive, pay attention & suck it up.

4. More focus on driving than mobile phone = less accidents.

5. Manual driving skill develops better driving sense, sensing problems in cars, road feel etc.
