Both insurance & workshop mentioned such case is very common in Singapore. I don't really understand the logic. Does that mean the faulter gets scot free? And police cannot do anything? Even if you pursue legal action & the lorry company doesn't comply, I could even waste my money on legal. The law allows such thing to happen?

Hey there! All accidents should be reported within 24 hours or by the next working day. Failure to make a timely report will result in your insurer having the right to reject your claim or claim any third-party claims from you.
